Landing pages

Landing pages built by the person who runs the ads, so the page and the campaign are one decision

Most of the waste in a PPC account happens after the click, on a page the person running the ads has never been allowed to touch. Here the page is in scope: written to the ad that sends the traffic, built on your CMS or as a static page, tracked before it goes live, and tested against a control until it earns its place.

Why the page is part of the campaign

Message match

The ad promised emergency boiler repair in Croydon; the page says "welcome to our plumbing company". Every mismatch is paid for twice: in the click and in the Quality Score of the next one.

One page per intent

Not per campaign, not per keyword, per intent. An audit page, a management page, a "switching from an agency" page. Twelve services on one page is a brochure, not a landing page.

Speed and forms

Under two seconds on a phone, a form that asks for what qualifies the enquiry and nothing more, phone tracking that knows which keyword rang.

Tracked before it is live

The page ships with its GA4 events, Tag Manager triggers and conversion actions already tested. A page that goes live untracked has wasted its first week of data.

What is delivered

  • Copy. Written from the search terms and the sales conversations, not from the brand deck. Headline, proof, offer, form, objections, in that order.
  • Build. On WordPress, Webflow, HubSpot or your existing site where the CMS allows it; otherwise as fast static pages on a subdomain you control. Your design system is respected; no new brand is invented.
  • Tracking. Form, phone, chat and booking events wired into GA4, Tag Manager and the ad platforms, with Consent Mode v2 for UK visitors.
  • Test plan. One control, one challenger, one variable at a time, with the sample size worked out before the test starts so nobody calls it early.
  • Handover. The page is yours, editable by your team, documented.

How it is priced

Included in management retainers: building and testing pages is part of running the account, not a change request. As a standalone project, a fixed price per page or per set of pages, quoted from the form after a look at the site and the CMS. Not a design agency and not pretending to be one: for a full site rebuild or a brand identity, I will recommend a designer and work alongside them on the conversion path.

Questions people ask before hiring

Do you design the pages or just write them?

Both, within your existing design system. Layout, copy, build and tracking are done by me; original illustration, photography or a new visual identity come from a designer, and I will recommend one if needed.

Can you build on our WordPress or Webflow site?

Yes, given editor access. If the CMS is locked down or slow, the pages go on a subdomain you control as static files, which are faster anyway.

Do you do conversion rate optimisation for the whole website?

For the pages that paid traffic lands on, yes, continuously. Whole-site CRO programmes are a different engagement and usually belong with a CRO specialist once traffic is large enough to test on.

How long does a page take?

Copy and build in one to two weeks from brief, tracking tested before launch, and a first test result after enough traffic has been through it, which depends on your volume.
