Google Ads management
Google Ads management by a senior specialist, not a team you never meet
Search, Performance Max for lead generation, YouTube and Demand Gen, run weekly by the same person who audits the account, fixes the tracking and builds the landing pages. For UK and Irish companies that sell through enquiries. Flat monthly fee, month to month.
What usually needs fixing first
Conversions that count the wrong thing
Phone clicks, page views and duplicated form submissions all marked as primary. Smart Bidding then optimises towards noise. The first job is one conversion definition the business would recognise as an enquiry.
Broad match without a net
Broad match plus Smart Bidding with no negatives programme and a search terms report nobody reads. In UK professional services this is where a third of the budget goes.
Performance Max eating brand
PMax reporting a wonderful cost per lead because it is harvesting people who searched your name. Brand excluded, lead quality fed back, and suddenly it has to earn its budget.
One landing page for everything
Twelve services, one "contact us" page. The ad promised a specific thing; the page asks the visitor to find it. Fixing this is usually the largest single conversion rate gain available.
What the work covers
- Search. Campaigns organised by how you make money, not by how the last person found convenient. Exact and phrase match, a weekly negatives programme, ad tests with one control and one challenger.
- Performance Max for lead generation. Brand excluded, asset groups by intent, lead form quality checked against the CRM, and a decision each month on whether it deserves the budget it is asking for.
- YouTube and Demand Gen. Used when there is a reason: retargeting warm audiences, or a category where people research on video before they search. Not switched on because the rep suggested it.
- Measurement. GA4 and Tag Manager kept in agreement with the CRM, enhanced conversions, Consent Mode v2 for UK visitors, offline import for enquiries that became clients. Detail →
- Landing pages. One per intent, built and tested by me. Detail →
Google Ads specialist, expert or consultant: what the words mean here
The industry uses these interchangeably and so do search engines. On this site they mean one thing: a person who has run Google Ads accounts hands-on for fourteen years, across in-house, agency and independent roles, and who does the weekly work personally. Certifications are held and are not the point; the judgement about your specific business is. The about page lists what is public and what is not.
Questions people ask before hiring
Do you work with Google Ads accounts only, or all platforms?
Both. Many UK clients start with Google Ads alone and add Microsoft Advertising a month later because it is cheap to run alongside. Meta and LinkedIn are added when the business case is there. The PPC management page covers the multi-platform version.
Can you take over an account an agency built?
Yes, and it is the most common starting point. Nothing is changed until the tracking is trustworthy; then wasted spend, then structure, then testing. The audit lists the order and the reasons.
Do you do Google Shopping?
No. Shopping, Merchant Centre and catalogue Performance Max are e-commerce work, which is a discipline of its own. I will point you to someone who does it all day.
What does Google Ads management cost in the UK?
A flat monthly fee set by scope, quoted after the audit and credited with it. Your quote comes back in pounds, ex VAT, once the form tells me the spend band and platforms; the pricing page explains the model and UK ranges.
Will you tell me if Google Ads is the wrong channel for us?
Yes, and it happens. Some B2B categories have too little search volume in the UK to sustain a campaign, and the honest answer is LinkedIn, or content, or a sales motion. The audit says so if that is the case.
